A.S., I think I am on safe ground in suggesting that you probably considered shorting anti-american prior to this infamous day. All I am saying is that for the world as you know it and prefer it to carry on, free and open markets are a mandatory part of the picture. The world economy depends on this. Myself? I will not be trading when markets reopen for personal and practical reasons. Markets are likely to redefine chaos when they do reopen, and I try to avoid chaos. Last comment - shorting is not the only thing that drives markets down. Real selling or lack of buying are just as effective.
