AS apparently is citing this post, which suggests that all margin-related trades will be suspended by Schwab Canada.

AS, please do not make ideological hay of any sort on the backs of our fallen comrades. I know you saw what happened on the "President George W. Bush" thread on Tuesday. Don't be a small-minded jerk.

I would agree that we all should do what we can to see to it that our enemies are thwarted in the attempt to injure both the people of the U.S. and their economy. The U.S. faces an economic challenge not seen since WWII. We will prevail.

Schwab Canada is the first to stop shorting. I assume many others perhaps the whole industry will follow. They have also restricted margin limits. This is common sense. We are at war and have just had a great tragedy. Nothing said or done before this day is relevant to this situation anymore.
Our economy and markets are part of our national security.
