We have a right to defense, not revenge.

In your attempt to minimize the significance of this tragedy and impose your own political agenda, you failed to remember that justice and revenge are not the same thing.

misguided religious zeal...These extreme Muslims believe that by doing such atrocities, it will insure them an eternal life where they will have wonderful sex with 7-10 virgins...These boys think they are going to the afterlife by their deeds...(misguided as they may be) Remember too, in Romans 13 God gives the government the right on his behalf to execute just judgment, I wouldn't call it revenge what the U.S. may be planning at this time.....

"Shocking and Sad is all we can say about the past few days in America. We watched in horror as a passenger plane plowed into the World Trade center, and the fireball and smoke that ensued. We raised our hands to our mouths as we watched people jumping to their deaths. We felt deep empathy for the families of the firefighters and policemen who gave up their lives that others might live. What is wrong with this world?

America has lost its focus on its future, its eternal future. Take a look at the business man, who is told he will have a two hour delay at the airport before his flight leaves. He gets impatient, angry. How can this happen? I will miss an important engagement, where I can make more money for me and the company. He thinks of the here and now, his own interests, not what would happen to the plane at 20,000 feet should these mechanical problems not be fixed.

America has developed a feeling of security, that we are a superpower, and we can play the policeman of the world and expect no harm to come to our own shores.

But a tragedy of this magnitude makes us aware of how short life can really be, and how important a relationship with God is. A person's time on this earth is a time of grace, given to him by God. A time to recognize that the main problem in this world is not terrorists but sin. Sin which affects everyone. We try to play the blame game for our problems. Oh, if we had marshals on planes, oh if we had better metal detectors, but the core problem is sin.

Just as those firefighters and policeman gave their lives for others, so Jesus Christ has given his life at Calvary to pay the penalty for the sins of the world. As a result of his work, we have a restored relationship with God. God has promised us that somehow, all things will work together for good, no matter how tragic...(Romans 8:28)

Further, Jesus says, "If you love me, you will keep my commmandments." Out of love for Christ, we will want to live for him. That means we don't want to go out and ruthlessly kill people or abort fetuses in the womb. These terrorists need the gospel, for it alone can change the hearts of people, which is the real issue here....Problem is, you can't get close enough to these guys to preach the gospel without getting killed yourself....

One positive behind this event is that it has galvanized America...People are running to their houses of worship to pray for family members and friends who lost loved ones....
Yes, America, get back to God! He alone is our refuge and strength." (by Pastor M. Schulz)

Psalm 46:1-2
"God is our refuge and strength, and ever present help in trouble, therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the depths of the sea."

RELATIVE TO THE EVENTS OF YESTERDAY (and ongoing)

<<<All rightly disposed people should manifest great compassion for suffering beings, under all conditions. All living beings, rightly disposed, should relate to one another cooperatively in making an effort to protect one another, and relieve one another’s suffering, and so on.

All beings are arising in the same Divine Radiance and Consciousness. All! Everything! All is One in That. All beings would struggle to survive in the moment of intrusion. All beings WANT to live. They want to exist! The fish in the sea, the fly on the wall, the mosquito. They all experience the same sense of self-contracted differentiation and a will to survive as that. All!

If you understand this, you see, you can’t draw the lines or the circles around, and be just localized in your love and compassion. Your compassion, your understanding must extend to all that is.>>>
