<ot>Hi JB - in addition to what I ve said

Message 16337181

I don't know if we ve failed ourselves. I mean, hindsight is 20/20. I have wished FBI/CIA had spent more time on terrorist attacks [real and cyber] and not on 1) doing its boss [President Clinton] in; 2) throwing a Russian programmer in jail; 3) mishandling the case of Wen Ho Lee etc etc. I know, it is probably not in good taste to make criticism at this time, but it is not my intention. Rather, I think the real failing is a cultural one. I mean, it takes tragedy like this for some of us to see how trivial some of our bickering is. I mean, does President Clinton's sexual transgression [or to a lesser extent, Gary Condit's] mean anything to the people buried underneath the rubble?

AT WAR and AT PEACE are labels. As Voltaire has pointed out, this is the best of all possible worlds, but we must tend to our garden! So, yes, I think the US, and the whole world, for that matter, should actively pursuit anyone bent on destruction. OTOH, maybe it is a time to reflect how we place our priorities. To be fair, I m the worst person to make this holier-than-thou comment, since I ve my head screwed in wrong much of the time!

best, Bosco

Excellent Post JB, I agree 100%.

My solution is to identify ANY known terrorist organization and eliminate them.
