my understanding is they will have to pay. This will be 1 reason why NY markets will get whacked. Citi group? TOAST

Allan, I called a buddy who worked on some of the insurance negotiations after the 93 attack. He said at that time there were generally war exclusions but not exclusions for terrorism. Early on some of the insurers tried to rely on the war exclusion but a NY court quickly told them no-go on that and settlements then began to be processed. He was unsure, however, if insurers after 93 started adding terrorism exclusions but if they did he estimated vast majority would NOT have purchased any. He is going to talk to some people and get back with more info.
