Perhaps you do not put someone on ignore because you want to know what possible lies, slander, shameful things are being said about you, etc.

I am sure there are other reasons.
Once someone is notified of what they are doing is offensive, that person continues it is harrassment.

I believe I have seen harrassment.
Best course of action is for everyone to JUST STOP.
