Canada has a contingent of people who will deplore any retaliation by the U.S., who basically don't like the U.S. anyway, and will get their mugs on TV in the name of "balance." They're no more representative of the majority than their counterparts in the U.S. are representative of Americans. Personally, I can't imagine any U.S. response I wouldn't applaud, at least short of your dusting off your MIRVed ICBMs.
