I think that would be bad advice.

Many hijackings have endings which don't end in death and destruction. If they all did, then, yeah, gangpile the hijackers and hope only a few good people get hurt.

Most experts will tell you to cooperate fully. Don't try to be a hero.

Also, the hijackers apparently told them they had a bomb. You gonna jump guys who claim they have a bomb?

It seems relatively clear to me. A few guys, with primitive and hard to detect weapons take over the plane, force the crew, attendants and passengers to the back of the plane and keep them at bay.

I imagine none knew the planes were going to be plowed into buildings.

If they all knew the plane was going down, I'm sure the passengers would have tried to thwart the effort. I know I would have. But if you're in the dark...with the potential to stay alive...are you gonna risk your life to be a hero?
