Well said, Jim Black. Could not agree more.

<most Muslims who follow the Koran are peace loving, decent people who despise what has happened as the rest of us. Let us, please it God not do another travesty to the US Constitution that was done to loyal Japanese Americans at Manzanar>

Granted there will be isolated incidents of discrimination. Hopefully these will be delt with firmly by our authorities.

But because IMO this war will be a long one, there's also a practical consideration to treating all Islamic Americans who oppose terrorism without discrimination:

We are in dire need of strengthening our intelligence capability vis a vis the Middle Eastern nations - as well as elsewhere. Obviously, our prime human resource in that effort being careful and appropriately screened ethnic Arabic Americans who want to and are capable of working successfully as trained intelligence agents.

Even though a good network of human agents in the key Mid-East nations could still have failed to protect us from this attack, our over reliance on remote and electronic hi tech intelligence gathering has repeatedly proven it cannot fully meet our needs.

Best regards,

Iso
