Why don't the airline computers have a flash blinker when the name of a suspect shows up as having bought a ticket. Heck I click on a button and if my stock hits my low or my high I get a screaming button. It may would not eliminate everyone but the one who are stopped are stopped. I agree the people in the cockpit need to be armed. Not just the pilot but everyone in the cockpit. As a matter of fact someone in plain uniform armed among passengers. Lets say a policeman, a serviceman takes the plane he or she should be allowed to carry his or her gun, out of sight no one needs to know and then on that flight the airline does not need to put one of their people.
Airline stewardess need an easy simple self defense also. Maybe a can of maze.
Lets don't panic but put our heads together and let our ideas known.
My best to all and everyone. Be strong.

A secure cockpit and possible restrictions on pilots leaving the cockpit from the time the plane leaves the terminal until it arrives at its destination may be options to consider.

Not sure about pilots having weapons, or at least guns, there are a lot of pros and cons to consider with this.
