Who would flame you for having such a good idea, and going to some trouble to implement it?

Thank you.

I'll send a check.

It's a great idea. I am sure no one (I hope) will flame you for it. We are contributing to my husband's companies relief effort, but I wish you the best of luck with your efforts.

JBinPA, I was just making out a check for the fund you opened, and called the bank first for a small clarification.

I thought I'd mention to you that the woman to whom I spoke said the bank manager wanted to be sure there was a tax id number (to be sure of the legitimacy of the effort); and of course they want that information from you as soon as you have it.

Also: in case it's not clear, SI people making a donation to your fund by personal check should make the check out not to the account number, 36-054994-3, (that should be noted on the memo line), but to "Silicon Investors 911 Firefighters Fund."
