welcome bak, Bears Insist the Bottom's Yet to Come
does any one thing it is time to come into market for long term now?
Sep 10, 2001, (LA Times /FT Information via COMTEX) -- Most veteran market watchers are confident share prices have reached their lows, and that the only way left for them to go is up. However, the bears are predicting a darker scenario, with some saying the Nasdaq composite index will fall by at least 40%, pushing it under 1,000, before it starts to rally again. The bears also point to optimists announcing several times this year that the stock markets have reached the bottom, and say they have continuously been wrong. Fred Hickey, publisher of the New Hampshire-based newsletter High Tech Investment Strategist, says that the only way the recent bout of tech mania can be properly put to bed is if market indicators and share prices fall much lower than they are now.
