Perhaps I am not giving the conservatives here enough credit. Let me try to lay it out in simple terms for them: You cannot "unite" with the American left in any situation that threatens America. If you were to sit down with the American left and the terrorists for a conversation, you would find that those two entities have more in common with each other than with you: They both hate America and what it stands for. And they would both prefer to see America destroyed rather than prevail. If America is to survive in a hostile world, America will have to defeat BOTH the left AND the terrorists-in that order. That's the reality of the world in simplest terms. You conservatives will refuse to "get it" at your own peril. After the last eight years, you should at least understand THAT by now...
