I am questioning the social value of any religious doctrine that teaches Spiritual chauvinism.

People are going to view their own opinions, viewpoints, and religious ideas as correct. They can have strong and traditional and even slightly extreme (fundamentalist) religious views, without having an opinion that they are somhow superior or the belief that people who don't agree with them are somehow of lesser status or importance.
