I agree that the increased investment in improving the standard of living for third world nations would be a wise investment towards a better world. However, it takes a long time to reduce the tensions between neighboring groups who have experienced terror at close range. Working with the moderate members of a society (the IRA for example) may remove a lot of the fight from the terrorists that purport to be working for the cause.

PT, I agree that there will lots of hurdles to overcome but I don't see any other way. Until people in this world are more equal at least economically, I believe there will be constant acts of terrorism and bloodshed.

And I believe that if the current level of strife continues, there will be more horrific acts like the cratering of the WTC. The world is getting too small for our warring ways. We will have to work together to overcome our differences. I guess it will have to be one step at a time.

If
