If we built many next generation Nuclear plants, fuel reprocessing plants, lots of them, and opened the Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Site, the whole middle east would go poof! Sometimes I wonder what the Saudis would do if the President and Congress decided to go with an all-nuclear energy policy. I think rich Saudis would emigrate as fast as possible. The ones remaining would bankroll the US antinuclear movement....

so its time for a movement

among american consumers.

find out where your oil comes from,
and who you are supporting, every time you fill
your tank.

don't buy from oil companies who
get supplies from any country
which promotes fundamentalism or religious
intolerance.

find out how much we need to conserve
and then do it, quickly and effectively
by changing our habits.
if we need to conserve 25%, for example,
then lets get it done. get inconvenienced
and change your habits.

and for goodness sake
get everyone off heroin.
that needs to be done regardless, but
for that matter, relinquish any
other commodity
that ultimately gets profits in the hands
of the wrong people.

first we need to determine
what to boycott, or conserve,
and by how much, then we need to do it.
