NG:yesterday's abomination is the act not of religious, cultural, national or other belief system but solely the product of a psychotic makeup. This is not true. Psychosis is due to an organic brain disease that can be modestly treated with appropriate medications. The people we are talking about are as healthy mentally (from an organic standpoint) as you and me. The difference is they have become thoroughly indoctrinated in a very destructive belief system. This is possible because of, IMO, the brain's innate facility for accepting such irrational beliefs. eCo
