The moral of the article as I read it seems to be we should have ruthlessly eliminated Hussein in the first place so that a continued embargo was not necessary.

I think the article made a good point and I hope you (and everyone else who read it) learned something new which can only help in understanding this situation, you see education furthers the mind. And the way to fight the enemy is to understand him what makes him tick and makes him willing to blow themselves up. Without that, all these cries of nuking, obliterating, cutting off and other war cries are pointless and they don't get to the root of the problem.

I can very clearly see the root of the problem.
I KNOW what makes terrorist tick and that is power. It is NOT about anything else.

IF these terrorists REALLY want to change U.S. policy. They would have blown ONLY themselves up. Called the media to witness it. Made a statement that they are so oppressed they are willing to die. That would have gotten the U.S. peoples attention to their problem.

But they are NOT willing to die to change U.S. policy. Because they really don`t want it changed.

They are ONLY willing to die in the act of killing people.
The REASON they did this was ONLY to keep the LEADERS of their group in power.

They one who died were brain washed by the same tripe as you post. Pawns in the game of islamic power struggle. That is the key to terrorism. Without someone to hate the leaders will lose their power.

Who is the author of those articles?
I don't remember reading anywhere that he was an authority on anything.
Maybe I don't read enough, I don't know. Is this the guy?

Baloney. Saddam is responsible for the plight of his citizens. And although I would love to see peace in the Middle East, the failure of that to happen does not in any way justify terrorism. Nor does dislike of our President and his policies.

This article offered up in defense of the hatred of Americans by Muslims, is so much tripe as to not be worthy of discussion. It is obviously written by an unthinking dolt, for other unthinking dolts.Oh excuse me, the writer must have thought about his audience, just enough to dupe them.
