I, for one, am very thankful for Canada's support of the US and of democracy in general. I remember when the Canadians working in the Canadian Embassy in Tehran smuggled out people who initially had been part of the Iranian hostage crisis -- I don't remember all the particulars any more, but it was about 10-15 Americans as I recall. That was daring and bold. Just yesterday, thousands of US bound passengers were allowed to land all over Canada. Thanks a ton, Canada, we need more friends like you.

But lest you forget:- 1. thanks to the Distant Early Warning system located in Canada's Arctic North, you guys were able to breathe and sleep a whole lot better for many years; " I worked up there for a few years and to the best of my knowledge it was all bought and paid for by the USA, and it also provided protection for CANADA.
