Complicated situation - Iraq did invade Kuwait. Iraq does try to arm itself with weapons of mass destruction. Iraq does murder the Kurds. I don't like the blockade, but we do allow Hussein to use the oil money to buy food and medical supplies for his citizens. Instead he builds palaces and more weapons, and lies to them and tells them that we are the reason they are starving and lack medical care.

The stupid part was not finishing the job after routing the Republican Guard...the road to Baghdad lay open. Lack of political will doomed us to dealing with that ahole in perpituity.
