Daryll...would it be safe to say that for now the hard liners in Israel have the upper hand in dealing with the Palestinians? My point would be that Israel has been following the same policy of subjugation of the Palestinians for over 30 years and it has not worked. .... I do not suggest that we stop supporting Israel, but we have to force Israel to start thinking differently. The Marshall plan for Europe was the result of a lot of first class thinking by a lot of think tanks on how not to make the same mistakes that were made after the First World War. Israel needs to do the same.The think tanks formed after the Japanese surrender dictated to Mc Arthur what policies he was to implement as Military Governor of Japan.
