It's too bad there's no will, because after I read that article, I can see why Afghanistan is such a fertile ground for breeding fanatics. I'm appalled by the divergences in our world. I thank God I had the good fortune to be born an American, but wonder how can we expect to keep the peace when people live who in rags starve in a cold, wretched land while an indifferent world turns it's head. Reasonable people get turned into monsters in hellholes like this. (Remember the genesis of WWII and what is happening in Israel.) This is the source of the terrorist's power, and unless we start to care, I suspect that we can look forward to less and less freedom, and more horrors.
