<<This means that most of the people above, or at the level of the plane hit on tower 2 were probably still in the building>>

I had a cousin in tower two......fairly high up. he said he literally just happened to be watching when the first tower got hit. he said after a couple minutes of being in a kind of dazed shock as he watched people jumping from windows onfire, people on the ground being crushed and etc, etc,...he finally snapped to and realized he needed to get his 400 people out of the building. I dont know anything about them making an announcement in tower 2 for people to stay put until tower one was clear, but I do know that if that did happen, not many, or not everybody listened. My cousin, within 3 - 5 minutes of the first tower being hit, got all 400 of his people out of the 2nd tower. he said it was tough because everybody was trying to get out at same time...so my guess is that a large % of the people got out of tower 2, regardless of any announcement to stay put. he said thousands were trying to get out of tower 2 within minutes if tower 1 being hit.....he also said, as far as him and his 400 people, they had just gotten clear when tower 2 went down and he said as far as he could tell, alot got it on the intitial 2 impacts, but people ran like hell after the first plane hit...folks werent standing around gawking at the first tower...they were running like hell......I think alot of police and rescue personal got it because they were ushering people as far away as possible, and they were there at the scene when the towers came by...the miracle is that we will look back at the many thousands killed, but it really was a miracle....we could be looking back at 6 figures dead. had both towers collapsed before they were able to get a large % of the people out and far enough away, and to get the hundred thousand - 3 hundred thousand people in that several block area, off the streets and far away....we could be looking at hundreds of thousands of dead........so yes, we lost a,lot of lives...I personally, lost family, friends and business associattes, but I also had many close to me miraculously survive this attack........as bad as it was, it is a miracle it wasnt far, far worse.....I am not trying to make light of what happened because the death toll will be large, but it is a miracle it wasnt far worse.....

I know someone who was in Tower 2 (and made it out OK). It was WTC policy that if there was a problem in one building, the other would be evacuated. I do not believe that anything was done differently this time around -- when the first tower was hit, they immediately began evacuating the second.
