Yes, emotions are running high and thats when people do stupid things.

By using a nuclear bomb the US would lose all support and they may kill a few terrorists.

But by killing civilians they would be no better than the terrorists.

The economic and political fallout would be devastating on the US as no other country (except israel) would remotely support such an action.
