Earlie, Bill was an all-around good guy and the only thing I've ever held against him was that he handicapped horses better than I do.

Down here in Texas, the locals generally think New Yorkers are sub-human. And I think the feelings are pretty mutual. But I am surprised at how many of my boot scootin' pals have commented that those damned yankees did themselves proud responding to this tragedy. One only has to look at the number of policemen and firemen lost to realize the city is full of heroes and people who really care, even if they do express it with middle finger upright.

Ive lived in Manhatten my whole life, I consider myself a jaded New yorker. I just went out for the first time since yesterday. Verry odd many people out and about, resteraunts full but almost everyone is silent. There is also a smokey stench and I live 100 blocks from the WTC. very sureal

Well, I think of Canada as keeping alive some of the more fragile qualities that I value in the United States.
