yeah, but it is simply a psychological weapon. Short-sellers don't drive the market. Our economy is going to be f&cked if they try to prop the market at any and all costs. Who will care if their stocks are only down 60% from the highs if they don't have a job 6 months later ... sheeesh! It is so wrong .. if they pull that crap here in the states huge players will pull out. You want panic -- change the rules before you reopen -- that'll create a mass exodus, IMO.
