Proud as well but are we resting too much on the laurels of our heritage? This threat is as great a test as any in American history but it has been a long time since this country had to collectively face such adversity. Too much peacetime softness has led to policies of futile diplomacy, hand holding and concern of things like world opinion when we know what the right course of action is.

I hope you are right. I have seen what 20 years of liberalism has done for our country. Sept. 11 was the terrible result.
Our country has been attacked and we need to stand up as proud americans. If they call me up to serve I will be glad to go if we have the resolve to win, not negotiate.
