CBC just carried a most amazing interview with an executive in the 2nd tower (the 2nd to be hit) who was on the 84th floow -- just a few above the impact. He was able to get down but all of the folks heading down with him turned and went back up because they had heard there was fire below. He ended up saving someone and went down with him. The thing that struck me was that he said that they met hardly a soul on the way down. Very sad.

ru2, From what I understand, that plane was in the air almost an hour before it slammed into the Pentagon. Dulles airport is 20++ miles due west of DC, scheduled to head to the west coast. This plane was well off it's flight path long after the second plane hit the North tower of the WTC. """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" If it flew out of Dulles it's flight, for all I know could have been just a couple of minutes away from the Pentagon. I don't expect that in three minutes a fighter is going to be on it's tail even after the two tower crashes.I'll be waiting for more facts to come in. If it was twenty minutes that it had been out of it's flight path after the tower crashes happened and the Government is claiming it was a mistake and we just were not prepared. I smell a rat. Could not agree with you more that if we don't learn from our mistakes we are in trouble. History repeats itself over and over and people often make the same mistakes. One thing is different this time. Lot' of people have Nuclear weapons and if that Genie is let out of the bottle I am not sure there will be any winners. According to Dennis Bernstein former secretary of State William Cohen is already floating the NUKE word as a possible response. We need to respond to this intelligently not irrationally.
