Just FYI, the Bay of Pigs was help to a Cuban exile force not US troops, we defended South Korea successfully and Iran-contra did not involve an active conflict with US involvement.

Vietnam was a mess and we achieved the stated goals in Kuwait (catching Saddam was not among them, though it should have been).

A better record than many other nations in the world militarily....you left out saving Europe against aggression twice, or three times if you count the Cold War.

It's actually fairly well documented that Afghanistan had considerable covert US support in their fight against the Soviets. It's just that some people have strange ways of saying thank you.

And as for the Contras, everybody remembers the stink Congress made about it the whole deal but forgets that the actual event was pretty much a complete success.

Korea was war by committee and Vietnam was war by people who hated war. No amount of American fighting spirit was ever going to overcome that.

US wars fought abroad end up being internal wars to kowtow to the left wing and media image. Hopefully the "dumb" guy in office whose heart won't bleed for scum changes things this time around.
