I have a background in psychology and anthropology. I do not believe that the book you place your faith in was immaculately conceived. I believe it is an oral history that was combined with local religious traditions and finally edited under the supervision of a pagan Roman emperor who had a political objective. These are matters of history, not faith. I do, however, believe in the Spirit of Christ and his teachings. I believe there is an essence of the Word in the orthodox scripture in spite of man's contribution. I do not believe we should tire these folk with a theological debate.
