re: No one shot at them It was a commercial airline. Can you imagine how high up the chain of command you'd have to go to get approval to shoot down a plane with innocent civilians on it? The men who apparently tried to regain control from the terrorists on the Pennsylvania plane, causing the crash into an empty field, are truely American heroes. They voluntarily risked their lives in a valiant effort to save others. Many lives were spared because of those men and their unselfish deed. Regards, TED
