Somebody just opened a T shirt for bidding on EBAY. The shirt has an image of the twin towers of the WTC, a plane crashing through one of the towers and flames all around. Caption says - "I flew a plane into the Twin Towers, and all I got was this T shirt"

Anybody find that funny?

Hi B - considering that magnitude of this disaster, I don't think there is enough equipment [protective clothings and oxygen masks included] on hand. So, not knowing of the people in the commanding position have made such considerations, they still have to deal with the immediate task of rescue missions. They probably don't have time to write proposals and go to endless committee meeting. The troopers [pros and volunteers alike, heroes of them all] wouldn't be doing what they have been doing if they were concerned with themselves and insisted on getting all the protective equipment before going to a hot site.

Just one angle of looking at it

best, Bosco

asbestos is the least of our worries. I have gotten a half decent nights sleep and I do not need to post any additional educated guesses on what's happening. It's as bad as one can imagine and only going to get worse.

My final comments on this whole issue is just find time to pray provide comfort for the relatives of the dead and not to focus on things like trading stocks.

Hi B - here is an article that may appease you

zdnet.com

specifically,

He was taken four blocks away to an outdoor staging area, where the ambulance driver was ordered to return to the World Trade Center to rejoin his triage team. Bell jumped out.

"I told him, 'Don't go to the building. It's not stable.' He told me that's where the injured are." Bell said. "His chances were not good."

I guess it is not like the rescue workers didn't know the perilousness of their tasks

best, Bosco
