Ticker, et.al.: Not meaning to clutter this thread with non-VLNC conversation, but it's clear the combined forces of the world need to finish the job started by the first Bush administration over 10 years ago. All our political "expression" these past 10 years in such areas as the Middle East amounted to hand-wringing, "police" based activity under the self-deception that certain governments were somehow....rational and able to see reason (how else to define our governments limited action). This has, as of 9/11, been proven a woefully inept strategy. Now that I've managed to calm down a bit I've got to say despite the fact there must be terrorist cells sprinkled the world over, all funded out of such as Iraq, I don't necessarily believe your average Mid-eastern civilian, your average Abdul and "Abdulles" is any different from your average Joe and Jane American. They simply wish to live their lives quietly, raise their children and conduct themselves from the viewpoint of an optimistic future. Unfortunately they're caught by the throats in the vice of a fascist, quasi-religious or "cult of personality" government. Nazi Germany. Military state Japan, Cambodia, et.al. provide ample proof these governing styles do not go "gently into the night." While they exist they act as oozing sores on the body politic of our planet. Therefore, we need to guard against acting on the premise that their common people are one and the same as the ruling powers which govern their lives. By acting in a fashion that shows we understand this difference we will continue to be, as Americans, a unique and positive political example for the rest of the world. A nation where reason prevails over the heart, and Law prevails over Chaos. But even so let's face facts. The task ahead will be brutal. It will be bloody. But it must be done. These governments need to be removed via extreme prejudice actions if the world is to know any true, long term peace. Enough is enough. John~
