To: Jim Bishop who wrote (91715 ) 9/13/2001 4:34:25 AM From: dkgross Respond to of 150070 GREETING FROM GREECE!! You are so right, Jim. As I sit here at an internet cafe in Naflpio, Greece, I am reasured by the 7 people at the other comptuers (2 americans, 2 french, 1 polish, one german and one brit), that the support for the US is unilateral. Funny..the general concensus from the 'foriegners' here is that the US should use all it's military might to 'obliterate' (as my neighbor next to me said) 'all of those resposible in order to make the world safer for everyone'. wow. strong thoughts. I'll put my faith in the strength and resolve of the AMERICAN will before anything else. (pretty safe bet that the terrorists were conifedent that 'their god' was in the right. Sorry, but religion is the whole cause of all this mess. 'my god is better than your god'. it's all bull((#@. I did not vote for Mr. Bush, however, now is his chance to show all naysayers (and, frankly, the whole freakin planet), exactly what he's made of. And, personally, knowing that Colin Powell has a direct line to Mr. Bushs' ear is a great comfort to me. He's a great leader. Actually, I wish he was president :>) ANYWAY..enough of this. Rae and I are still going to try and enjoy our vacation in beautiful Greece. Hanging wth Taki and Dez and her kids is a blast. Taki is quite the celeberity here!!! Everyone knows him and stops him to say hello! Yesterday we spent the day in a ancient city outside of Nafplio called Epidaurus with an ancinet ampitheater that left me totally speechless. Audio perfection. Dates from about 400 BC. Talk about putting the world into perspective!!!!!!!!! We're scheduled to return the 23rd, but may extend for a week depending on the airlines. Ya'll take care, and stay strong. May whatever powers that be that you believe in guide and protect us. It's quite comforting to know, even so far away from home, that so many people here support the US. take care. dave g
