Mike, yesterday I watched TV (c-span2), a guy whose office was on 84th floor. He said the aircraft hit around 79th floor, and there were about 6 people in his office, were all fine. And then they were starting to go down the stairwell. But after they went to 81th floor, they met someone coming up, since the hit was another two stores down, so there was some argument among 6 of them. He said they should go down, and others said they should go up since the fire was downstairs. And then he heard someone was asking for help, so he went helping a guy to come out. When he returned to the stairwell, he saw all other his office workers disappeared, and they must have going up. then he and this other guy start to go down. And he only met one person on the way (around 40th floor), and that guy was going up to help some other people. And after he and this guy he saved came out and crossed the street, the tower collapsed. He said the people in the office who went up are still uncounted for.

The reason I wrote these is that perhaps at that time most people on 80 floors or above thought it was safer up there, since the fire was down below. So a lot of them did not even try to come down even if they might have time. What a pity.
