Tuesday we had about 30 fighters fly over then later AF-1 with it's escort planes.

A few minutes ago I heard a jet and was thinking they had reopened our airport as a 737 flies over every morning. It kept getting louder and louder, much louder than the 737. Finally I went out to look but it had passed. Oddly I could hear it for several minutes.

It wasn't a fighter, I live where the Blue Angels practice for the air show every year and this was much louder and lasted longer.

Hi DMA; I'm only guessing, but I'd say that all that air traffic has something to do with the fact that all the foreigners got out of Kabul yesterday, and the locals are digging holes.

Personally, knowing what FAE does to people in holes, I'd opt instead for a trip to the countryside.
