Jacob, I find your personal attack very disturbing. You seem to think that somehow I sympathize with the terrorists and nothing can be further from the truth. From the start I said that I fully support the use of force to bring them to justice. I also said that:

Nothing would please me more than to see the Taliban kicked out of Afghanistan and their people freed of them. I would take great pleasure in seeing Sadam burn in hell on earth. And the Islamic fundamentalists in Iran do not deserve a better fate, though I seriously doubt they had anything to do with this. I could go on about PRC (which I am not a fan of) and so on.

And I further repeated the sentiments of the only Arab friends that I have in the city and tried to show you that they too find this tragedy unforgivable.

For your information, innocent people perished in this evil attack and there is no justification for it. Sorry that I did not see a need to repeat the obvious.

What you fail to see is that there is a method to the madness. Did you watch the ABC's Nightline last night? They had an interview with an anti-terrorist special-op agent who has served in 105 countries and been through numerous situations. In his words, "the diplomatic solution should be considered first". And if you listened, then you would have understood that solving this problem is not as easy as you think and that extreme violence will be just adding fuel to the fire. They also interviewed two anti-terrorist think tanks and foreign specialists. One American and the other from Britain. Both experts believed that unlike what the president told us, the we are under attack because we are the shining beacon of democracy and prosperity, the truth is that we are under attack because of our antagonistic foreign policies.

Now you can try to use your analytical mind and see why this problem exists and what can be done to prevent it in the future. Or you can empty it out and whole heartedly take in every peace of bias that the media feeds us.

with my greatest condolences for the families of the victims,
Sun Tzu

P.S. I will not fallow up this discussion. Everything that needs to be said has been and there is enough information for everyone to use their brain.

I suspect that what the hijackers hate about us, is that we are rich and powerful.
......
After a long flirtation with Command Economies, the consensus of the Global Village is that the American Way is the Best Way.

Your post clearly explains why we are the most hated country in the world. It's not jealousy it's arrogance.
