It is in the nature of the beast, to plant people for long term plots. We need to penetrate their cover, insofar as possible. Meanwhile, let me note this: Some of our Arab- American citizens have unfairly been targeted by bigots. Islamic Centers have been fired upon, individuals have been threatened, and there is a fear of escalating violence. I know of nothing practical to do now to help, but want to publicize it, in the knowledge that there are lurkers, as well as regulars, who may come across opportunities to address the issue in their communities. I saw on the news that a community in Texas had gone out of its way to show interfaith solidarity, for example, and there has been a vigil against such bigotry at George Washington University in the District. Officials in NYC have deplored it, and increased security in Arab neighborhoods. Please, if you have a chance to speak out, do so........

What kills me is that Islam strictly forbids alcohol consumption of any kind; however, Attah and his compatriot were getting drunked-up in a FL bar the day before flying to Boston to board their fateful flight. What effing hypocrisy! I trust these guys are roasting in Islamic HELL right now.

I find that simply unimaginable. The thought crossed my mind yesterday, these people had to enter the country and spend time here, see Americans go about their lives, and still be so desensitized to their victims. What manner of cold insensitivity to one's fellows is manifested in these terrorist attacks? Its monstrous. Even more so now that we know they may have spent months here, some maybe years, who knows. And still be so fanatical and cold to the consequences of their actions. Its beyond rational comprehension. Derek
