Three houses away from me is a family which I know is of Middle Eastern origin, and I think probably Iraqi. I have not seen anyone going in or out of their house since this happened, but several cars are parked out front. I don't really know them. I was thinking - before this happened - about knocking on their door to ask who painted their shutters, because ours need painting, and the houses are on a hill. Hard to reach the upper shutters because the ladder won't balance. Wonder if this would be a good time or a bad time?

Thank you Neo...

People are justifiably angry and lashing out. But it's important to realize that we cannot paint with the same broad brush our Islamic neighbors who respect our values and human life with the same total and complete condemnation that we do those who would bastardize their faith and use it as a tool of hate and destruction.

The World Trade Center was very much a microcosm of our great country. Different nationalities, races, men, women, children.... those who were wealthy, the working poor, the highly educated and those "without letters". All equally precious human lives who did not deserve their fate.

The barbarism we have seen is indeed a crime against humanity and we must direct our focus to the true perpetrators of this evil wherever it may lead and do our best to ERADICATE them.
