Dale, as I posted in Message 16344260, I think the US would be doing Afghanistan a great favor by invading and getting rid of the Taliban. Nation destruction is relatively easy, as anybody who has followed events in Africa for the last few years should know. Nation building is much harder. The US did its fair share in the nation destruction department in Afghanistan. It would be nice if we did some nation building there this time around. It's a hard job. The US military can do it, as was proven to the world's great benefit after WWII. It's not clear if anybody other than the US military can do it in the modern world.
