The U.S. has embargoes against countries like Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea and Sudan. As a matter of policy, our Canadian based company will not SHIP or SELL technology products and internet-based technology training to these countries. Our thinking is better safe than sorry. The reason is not just because we don't want them to use the technology to harm innocent people but also because we don't want the U.S. government giving us a spanking!

If as a Canadian I know better than to do this why did the US flight training school not know better? I would think the U.S. government would take action against them in the near future for allowing this to happen.

Another area the U.S. should focus on after this tragedy is educating Americans about what they can and cannot do in terms of doing business with residents of the above named countries ... even if they are currently residing in the U.S.

its time to stop buying oil from
any country which does not allow
religious freedom.

countries which promote religious fundamentalism
are now obviously the greatest risk to world security,
as extremists are a natural outgrowth of
fundamentalism.

stop buying their oil.

we can do it by conservation.
followed by the real development of
significant alternative energy resources.

this would require several key steps.

first,
Identify our current percentage of
dependence of oil from the middle east.

second, develop efficient conservation
strategies to reduce consumption by an equal
amount.

third identify which middle eastern countries do not
allow freedom of religion.

then communicate that to the american public
and congress. once consumption
is reduced, demand that importation oil be ceased from any nation in the middle east which is not a free
and open society regarding freedom of religion.

and watch things change.
