The funny thing is that the U.S. military manual load (regulations &c. that a grunt is expected to know) is bigger than what I have to know to design Xilinx FPGAs. And that's gotten long enough that you can no longer get it in hard copy. Pretty soon they're going to get the bright idea of sending the army out with individual CD ROM drives.
