I believe they update the survey a week and a half from now for release two weeks from tomorrow - that should tell us a lot. I don't know when the Consumer Confidence survey is done - that's coming out on the 25th. I assume consumer confidence will take a beating on this. Ask yourself this: what has the attack done to your own consumer confidence? These surveys are the only thing that all of us can guage just by looking at our own lives and psyches. My own answer is I don't know. The shock is still wearing off. I think I'm likely to spend even less; heck, I don't even want to leave the house at the moment. But that said, a lot of us have professional ties to these events, so we may be a little more affected than most. JMVHO...
