Ca residents have learned how to reduce energy costs. We all could benefit from some of the conservation tips and practices that have been employed in Ca.

I don't think we have to reduce our use of oil in the ways that people commonly think of.
Our country uses a lot of oil in the products we use. For example every burger we buy comes in a styrofoam container, every coke to go has a plastic lid. There are so many ways that we could reduce oil consumption by just using alternative products, or just not having everything so "convenient".
