thanks so much... i just realized that this guy carried a weapon. he was a wildlife refuge manager, but was licensed to carry a sidearm, and did, in fact. he used to tell me how it was nice to have the weapon when he was busting people smoking dope on department land. there is widespread speculation locally that he was among the ones that thwarted the terrorists. i am shaken, but proud, to have known this man. he was visiting family and friends back east, and was due to return to work yesterday. i have no trouble visualizing my friend fighting with those hijackers. i hope and pray he was part of the force that took back that airliner.
