Tenchu, I expect the new rules will totally stop hijackings. El Al has these rules and no-one hijacks an ElAl plane. These rules start with a more thorough examination of you packed baggage and carry on baggage as well as a short interview where they ask a few check questions. ElAl has enough staff on hand that is does not take any longer than we now take to board people. If each one takes 10 times as long to process, then have ten times the number of examniers....easy. costs extra, but El-Al is very safe.
They also have good access control and they have their ownfederal officers riding shotgun. No matter what you do to the passengers you will not get the pilot to allow you into the cockpit. I do not know if they have stronger doors or dual doors, but I expect some one who has flown El-Al might tell me. I will ask some friends.

A food cart could ram the door it has enough mass, so a good design would have some constriction to stop that from happening?
