Sharck, WARNING - This post is extremely cynical. I just don't see why you have to defend yourself for shorting CHKP. It doesn't matter to me when you did it. Effective trading is supposed to be an emotionless activity. I wish I was short American and United Airlines right now. Their nearsighted business practices lead them to take security shortcuts that had disastrous consequences. As a result, their equity values will suffer. If I could benefit from that deserved drop in stock price, I would. I can't help believing many of those traders who equate shorting with a lack of patriotism are, for the most part, very long right now. People like AS and HO have proven to be so self-interested they are not to be trusted. Thank you for your your posts.
