Albert, I don't want to belabor this, but Jews tend to be a little touchier than most about abusing the term genocide. The Holocaust, Armenians in Turkey, Tutsis in Rwanda count. Hussein's civil war against the PLO doesn't. Fighting for control of your county against an internal paramilitary organization isn't the same as trying to kill them all. I don't see anything in that account that sounds at all like genocide, even narrowly defined as against the PLO. There seems to have been some foreign Arab involvement on behalf of the PLO against Hussein, though.

The legitimacy of the Hashemite government in Jordan is somewhat dubious, but a democratic government there would likely be problematic, too. The royals have a delicate line to walk there.
