Marginmike- Respectfully, you are overreacting. Think about what some other posters are saying here about the difficulty, really impossibility of the ground invasion/occupation you are proposing...

Understood.

I guess in the end we will have some folk who are most concerned about maintaining the status quo -- the life I had before. Some other folk, and I am one of them, see the status quo as unworkable; a system that will give rise to many nasty consequences. We have to look at both problems -- the immediate threat and a real change in how we lead our lives.
