No you're right. they could do that. Just as they could have a guy enlist in the army and after 20 years he becomes one of our generals and gives them all of our secrets. but those types of things are always there, they will always be there. I think the best course of action is to take measures that enable you guard against the most likely scenarios, and take the most efficient steps, not the most unweildy ones, rather than to try to guard against the most unlikely ones, first.

I really like the sealed cockpit idea, I think someone posted it a few days ago,, and it just keeps coming back to me as the best idea.

Sting-Ray. It doesn't matter if he is a licensed pilot or even that he flies for the very same airline he is trying to take over. The cockpit security system of the particular airplane would authenticate that he is the exact "biological unit" that nature/God created. Authentication could not be circumvented because part of the loop for initialization is simultaneous communication with two (or more) randomly chosen secure ground based stations. Once built even the experts who designed it can't circumvent it unless, perhaps, through cloning themselves into another person who grew with the exact same physical experiences.

Furthermore, the door and other separation structures of the cockpit are separate. The terrorist pilot could be welcomed into the cockpit with a red carpet laid out at his feet by hypnotized crew members and he could not control the airplane to even start the engines let alone taxi and take off.

I do not have time for this. It is not personal - thanks for your questioning.
